realistic fiction is a genre that has believable events occuring to people or animals. my favorite realistic fiction books are fangirl by rainbow rowell, the summer series by jenny han, and the book thief by markus zusak.
this is the order you should read the summer series:
the summer i turned pretty
it's not summer without you
we'll always have summer
here are three facts about realistic fiction books, according to a website i found:
1) realistic fiction books contain no fantasy or supernatural elements, and it usually depicts ordinary people going about ordinarily
2) over the past 150 years, realistic fiction novels have become less romantic (or not depicting a better world than we live in) and becoming more honest
3) in a good realistic fiction, the characters and dialogue are believable, the setting is true to life, the problems faced by the characters are honestly depicted, and the resolution makes sense
